Dermloop is an intuitive, high-impact solution for asynchronous telemedicine that enhances diagnostic accuracy and efficiency through smarter, connected workflows — transforming how GPs, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and pathologists manage skin lesion diagnostics, while improving clinical performance and patient outcomes.
Dermloop: A Scalable Success Story
Dermloop is being rolled out as a national solution in Denmark and is currently used by around 30% of all Danish general practitioners (GPs). The nationwide rollout to the remaining GPs is planned for 2025–2026.

Skin lesion diagnostics consume significant time and resources in every healthcare system, and Dermloop has already demonstrated measurable impact in Denmark:

- 80% of all skin cancer diagnostics from GPs are now completed digitally
- Waiting times reduced from 18 weeks to just 1 day after first GP assessment on the skin lesion

In short, for every one euro spent on total cross-organizational costs, two to three euros worth of real freed-up capacity is gained — along with significantly reduced waiting times.
Why focus on dermatology?
Dermatological conditions account for up to 15% of all patient contacts in general practices. Due to the high demand and shortage of dermatologists in most European countries, patients often face long waiting times. This increases patient anxiety, especially in suspected skin cancer cases. When patients finally see a specialist, they often expect immediate treatment leading to increasing rates of skin biopsy rates in various European countries in recent years.
